Pastor Philippe Emmanuel Joseph was borne in a Baptist family in the South of Haiti. After elementary school, he attended The Franco-Haitian Seminary of Seventh-day Adventist, now, Adventist University of Haiti where he met Nive Mercie Charles who later became his wife.After high school, pastor Joseph left Haiti for colporting in Canada and from there he went to the faculty of Theology of Seventh-day Adventist in France where he spent the first three years studying Theology. From France, pastor Joseph immigrated to New Jersey and worked for five years. He went back to school, obtained a bachelor in Theology and a bachelor of science in Psychology from Atlantic union college of Seventh-day Adventist in Lancaster Massachusetts. Pastor Joseph earned a master of science in counseling Psychology and a two-year certificate in youth and family therapy from Fitchburg state university in Fitchburg Massachusetts and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Andover Newton Theological School in consencium with Boston and Harvard Universities. For almost thirty years, pastor Joseph has ministered at Southern New England conference as pastor, coordinator, counselor, and served on various committees including the Southern New England executive committee, the Atlantic Union conference executivecommittee and the North American Division Haitian Caucus and Advisory. He has presented seminars on family issues throughout the US as well as evangelistic crusades. Pastor Joseph has been married to his high school sweetheart, Nive Mercie for thirty-six years. From this union, they have three adult children: Sophia who is married to Derrick Barrett, Stephanie, and Philippe. Pastor Joseph serves and loves God with all his heart.
